چکیده
Coastal communities utilize tidal water sources; existing surface does not meet clean standards, and are greatly affected by current use. Managing sources to the needs of community is very difficult obtain, so research needed determine quality, quantity, distance standards. Reviews of management developing approaches in coastal areas
Coastal areas consider as a strategic and important region of each country. Proximity of water and land always was the origin of human societies’ formation. Currently, in the rapidly changing world the emphasis shifts on urban issues according to strategy and urban management, especially management of coastal development. Iran considering wide costal area in the north and south is no exception....
متن کاملComplex Satellite Monitoring of Coastal Water Areas
Possibilities of applying satellite means for monitoring of sea and ocean water areas are considered. Significant parameters of water environment registered by modern advanced space means and problems than can be solved using these means are analyzed. Some results obtained during complex satellite monitoring of anthropogenic influences on Mamala Bay water area (Honolulu, Hawaii) in 2002-2004 ar...
متن کامل1 Salt - marsh areas as copper complexing ligand sources to estuarine and coastal systems 1
7 Dissolved copper levels, copper complexing capacities and conditional stability constants have been 8 determined in the Tagus estuarine waters and one of the saltmarshes located in this estuary, the 9 Rosario saltmarsh. Tagus estuarine waters show a constant and around 20 nM copper concentration 10 during the estuarine mixing. Most of this copper is organically complexed by a strong ligand (L...
متن کاملProviding clean water, keeping water clean: an integrated approach.
Millions of people, most of whom are children in developing countries, die of basic hygiene-related diseases every year. Interventions in hygiene, sanitation and water supply have been shown to control disease burden. Universal access to improved water sources and basic sanitation remains elusive but is an important long-term goal. Studies have shown that improving the microbiological quality o...
متن کاملOceanic Sharks Clean at Coastal Seamount
Interactions between pelagic thresher sharks (Alopias pelagicus) and cleaner wrasse were investigated at a seamount in the Philippines. Cleaning associations between sharks and teleosts are poorly understood, but the observable interactions seen at this site may explain why these mainly oceanic sharks regularly venture into shallow coastal waters where they are vulnerable to disturbance from hu...
